Oconto Electric Employees are seeking grant applications for its annual Employee Charity program. The application period is open now until November 30, 2016. Funds will be dispersed late 2017/early 2018.
Organizations that are classified as exempt from Federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code with a valid IRS Tax ID are eligible to apply for the grant.

In 2016 the program awarded $6,000 to the Lena Area Volunteer Fire Department and $6,000 to Rainbow House. Since 2004, the Oconto Electric Employee Charity program has awarded $68,000 to local charities and organizations. Each year Oconto Electric Cooperative employees choose a charity to raise money for. Fundraisers include candy bar sale, Bag Lunch to Go, motorcycle ride, and an employee golf outing.
